What does it mean for your travel insurance? allsafe Travel Insurance want to try and clear up some of the confusion
Well that’s strictly true with your travel insurance policy at least, our underwriters have confirmed that the policy will cover as per its purchase date regardless of what happens with Brexit. That means that you’ll be covered for cancellation, medical etc despite what happens. Its expected that travel will continue almost as normal, flights, cruises, ferries and trains will run between the UK and rest of the world but with potential additional passport requirements / checks. The best bet here is to check with your tour operator / company handling your travel.
There is still large amounts of uncertainty around what will happen on and after Brexit. We strongly recommend that all policyholders check government advice, their travel insurance cover and with their airline/holiday providers terms and conditions before travel just to make sure everything is correct and without any issues.
We will update this page as and when new information becomes available.
